Basketball Australia made the draw official today for the eight-team league, one that will include the Melbourne Tigers after their decision to enter the league late last week.

The selected U17 athletes will train at cluster camp #2 at five venues around the country on July 25-26 while the U15 athletes will work-out at cluster camp #3 on August 22-23.

Wellington’s Steven Adams and Hawke’s Bay’s Josie Stockill claimed the most valuable player glassware at the BBNZ U17 National Championships in Palmerston North on Monday. Adams top-scored with 19 points as Wellington defeated West Auckland 73-71 for the boys championship, while Stockill finished with 13 points as Hawke’s Bay claimed the girls title with a 67-53 win over Waitakere City.

Appliance Shed Harbour Heat beat the 0800 Easy LPG Hawks 83-73 at the NSEC on Auckland North Shore, Waikato Pistons beat the ecogise Nelson Giants 76-73 at the Trafalgar Centre and the Bartercard Christchurch Cougars dismissed the McDonalds Manawatu Jets 84-58 at Cowles Stadium.
